WEAR YELLOW AT EMIRATES TODAY

What Gooners wouldn't give for a repeat of the Anfield '89 result this afternoon.

Even though we're at home, yet again Arsenal find themselves underdogs and any lingering hopes of challenging for the title will be over by 5.45pm if we haven't taken something from the game.

But with Christmas almost upon us, it's time to cheer, sing up for the Arsenal and, if you're going to the game and haven't left yet, wear yellow, as part of the REDaction initiatives to have themed days at the club.

I was shocked and disappointed to see that at the Masters tournament a couple of weeks ago, Michael Thomas played AGAINST Arsenal and for the Scousers.

Hopefully none of our players will forget which side to pass to today.

Having Samir Nasri back will give us some more balance and a couple of goals from the Frenchman would go down nicely.

Without Fernando Torres, the key will be to keep Steven Gerrard quiet - and if that duty isleft to Alex Song, we're in for a miserable afternoon.

Right, the Addicts are off for a beer before the game - let's hope Santa is kind to us and gives us a helping hand this afternoon.

We may well need it.

COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!!
