Play Fantasy Arsène Wenger – who should play against Wigan?

After the wonderful victory against Ch*vski last weekend, it’s important to maintain the momentum against Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

Just as after the victory over M*nure, the Gooners have another home game to build on that confidence-boosting result, so too do the challenges that come from facing a side like Wigan.

Physical, clinical and capable of defending very deep, the Latics have had some impressive results this season, including a draw against Liverpool thanks to a brace from Amir Zazi when they should have won.

Chris Kirkland is proving once again that he is the best English goalkeeper, and what a career he might have had if his back injuries had not been so pronounced.

He was a one man wall last weekend against WBA and getting past him and a resolute Latics defence is going to be some obstacle.

At the other end, Zaki and Emile Heskey have brilliance and brawn and the defence will have to be on their toes to cope with it.

I can see Wenger playing a fairly predictable team, not totally different to that which started against Ch*vski, apart from the absence of William Gallas.

The return of Manu Eboue gives us some options on the wing and with Denilson labouring, perhaps giving the young Brazilian a break would be beneficial. I can’t see it happening but still...

The Addict XI would be:

Almunia

Sagna Djourou Toure Clichy

Eboue Fabregas Song Nasri

RVP Adebayor

I dont know what Nasri would be like on the right but this would be my team.

Fabianski
Sagna Toure JD Clichy
Nasri Song Cesc Vela
Ade RvP

Its better to have fabianski learning from his mistaj=kes than have Almunia continuesly costing us pointless goals.Toure is just returning but surely he would be a better option tan Silvestre. Eboue is just returning too and Vela played left wing for Osasuna so he knows the position and the rest fills itself in.
