Eduardo - 'the worst part is over'

It was heartening to see that Eduardo was back at Arsenal at the weekend to cheer on the team in the Emirates Cup.

After the doom and gloom of some reports that suggested he would never play again, it seems likely that we will see him making his return some time before Christmas.

For his part, Eduardo is waiting for doctors' reports to give him a timetable when he can start to plan his comeback.

Talking to Arsenal TV he sad: "The worst part is over. I’ve had a lot of difficulties to overcome but right now I’m very happy with the progress I’m making – I’m just waiting for the moment when I’m ready to play again.

“After (seeing the doctors) I hope I’ll know exactly how long it will take me be before I’m back in training with my team mates. I want to find out as well when he thinks I can play again. My hope is that it will be before Christmas.

“Every day I dream about when I get back onto the football pitch but I’m in no rush. All I can say is that I cannot wait to come back and I’ll try everything I can to come back with quality and I hope everything goes well in the future.

“My only wish and target is to recover well and that’s enough for now. I want to get the trust of the manager and the rest of the team.”

Somehow, I think that fotball fans all the way back in Zagreb will hear the cheers when Eduardo scores his next Arsenal goal at the Emirates.

All of us at Arsenal Addict wish him a successful and speedy recovery.

it's a pity that certain other players do not have the same humility as this guy! i think he has by no means of his own edeared himself to the fans by his conduct.
