Poll: Will Theo start on Saturday?
There’s going to be a sense of expectation around Ewood Park on Saturday.
England’s new wonderkid is going to be the focus of national attention and his every pass and move analysed to see how he fares in the Premiership so soon after the international that announced his arrival in the big time.
But Arsène Wenger has a big decision to make.
The Gunners are notoriously lethargic after the godforsaken international breaks – and a home game against Hull would be much more welcome than an away trip to Blackburn.
Wenger may have his selection done for him, if Samir Nasri is unavailable and with few other wide options to choose from.
But having seen him play so brilliantly last night, Theo should be an automatic starter, shouldn’t he?
Well, after playing so well against FC Twente and being lauded by Le Boss, Theo then found himself dropped against Newcastle, the only change to the side that lost to Fulham, when I thought he did ok in a dreadful team performance.
Maybe Wenger thinks that the exertions and attention will have got to Theo, and bringing him down a peg or two will ensure he remains grounded.
Maybe he will go with the perceived wisdom and try to build on Theo’s confidence by letting him take centre stage again.
So, although I would like to see Theo start and carry on where he left off in Zagreb, it will be interesting to see how Wenger plays it.

THE ONLY THING THAT SHOULD ENTER WENGERS MIND IS TO PICK THE BEST POSSIBLE 11 TO WIN THE GAME AT BLACKBURN.....THEO SHOULD CERTAINLY BE ONE OF THOSE
Let the teen start.
I think theo is to tired to play on saturday. Let him come on as a sub, remember we have to play Cl on wednsday. He needs to rest, so does alot of players as well btw.
I think he should come on later in the game too..he is a better sub for us..he can scare the bageebeez out of blackburn.
If Nasri's injured, I think Walcott may start on the left but otherwise I think that Nasri will start on the left and Eboue on the right, with Walcott coming on for Eboue some time in the second half.
