Play Fantasy Wenger: Pick your Arsenal team to face Bolton

Arsene Wenger could name an unchanged squad for the trip to Bolton tomorrow evening as the manager revealed that there were no new injuries picked up in the midweek draw against Dinamo Kiev.

That’s the good news. The bad news is that none of our crocked stars – Eduardo, Tomas Rosicky, Abou Diaby, Mikael Silvestre and Abou Diaby – will be fit for the trip north, although Silvestre and Nasri should be fit for the game against Hull next weekend.

Wenger has now said that Rosicky might not return until closer to Christmas, but in a tantalising hint about our Crozilian striker Eduardo, Le Gaffer said, “He is still very much on course and he could be a very good surprise because he is a little ahead of schedule.” So with any luck we might see Dudu back in action next month.

The manager might be tempted to rest certain players for the Premiership game tomorrow and I’m thinking in particular of Theo Walcott, who must still be counting the bruises he collected in the Ukraine. But the robust challenge of the Kiev players was, in one way, a good rehearsal for the Bolton game, so I wouldn’t be too surprised to see an unchanged side tomorrow.

The squad that travelled east during the week was: Manuel Alumunia, Bacary Sagna, Cesc Fabregas, Kolo Toure, William Gallas, Robin van Persie, Carlos Vela, Theo Walcott, Denilson, Aaron Ramsey, Alexandre Song, Jack Wilshere, Johan Djourou, Lukasz Fabianski, Gael Clichy, Emmanuel Adebayor, Nicklas Bendtner and Emmanuel Eboue.

I’m not saying this is gonna happen, but from those 18, here’s the team I’d love to see starting at the Reebok tomorrow:

Almunia

Sagna Toure Gallas Clichy

Eboue Fabregas Denilson Vela

Adebayor van Persie

And I’d like to see Walcott and Jack Wilshere coming off the bench as the Bolton legs start to get weary.

I preffer to see a defesive midfield player instead of enemic Denilson. Also, i think not just Theo is tired:

Almunia

Sagna Toure Gallas Clichy

Eboue Fabregas Song Ramsey

Adebayor Vela

I agree with your 11. But i tend to think he'll give Song a go alongside Cesc & rest Denny. Walcott will defo be rested

Almunia
Sagna, Gallas, Toure, Clichy
Eboue, Song, Fabregas, Walcott
RVP, Adebayor

if it ain't broke - don't try and fix it!
Theo is on fire and you should always play your strongest 11.
All the players will have a week off after this match as hardly any of them will feature in the carling cup on Tues. This is a game we should win easily.

Almunia

Sagna Toure Gallas Clichy

Eboue Fabregas Song Walcott

Van Persie Vela

Adebayor coming off the bench because he was too wasteful with his chances agianst kiev. Wilshere coming on in the late stages for Walcott, should he get tired. Song is in there to add a bit of strength in the midfield.

Any news on bischoff? He's not on injury list anymore and would be interesting to see him feature soon, though I expect Hull or the league cup may provide a more likey debut. I think Van Persie will start scoring again soon. At least he's getting the chances, so sooner or later he'll come good. Also be good to see Bendtner back in the side.

I'm inclined to stick with the same team as against Blackburn but since Wenger is likely to rest Theo then it looks like Vela will finally get a start. Same team as posted for me but would like Theo to get a start instead of Eboue.
