Play Fantasy Arsene Wenger - Time to get back on track
By Avenell Dave
The next two Champions League games are both crucial and irrelevant.
We need a point to be sure of going through and nothing other than three will be acceptable tonight.
But there are bigger pictures here as well.
We need to get back to winning ways, get back our confidence, conviction and flow if we are to be in the right physical and mental state of mind to beat Ch*vski on Sunday.
And we need to get more of our fringe players up to speed so that we're not lacking when people are injured or suspended.
Aaron Ramsey is a case in point. A superb midfielder capable of being a superstar for us, but sometimes lacking in impact when he starts games.
Saturday was one of his worst perofrmances for us and while you cannot expect too much from an 18 year old, we rely on these players to step up and step up fast.
If Arsene Wenger truly believes that Carlos Vela has what it takes to replace M*nu Ad&b*yor as a front line striker, then he has to give the lad games and a home match in the Champions League is as good as any to blood him.
Dare I say it, but I'd probably start with pretty much the same side that faced Sunderland - with Samir Nasri probably the one to drop down to make way for Andrey Arshavin.
We have a lot of decent players - and I'd like to see Alex Song brought off early if the game is won because he is being run into the ground.
Addict XI
Almunia
Sagna Gallas Vermaelen Traore
Fabregas Song Ramsey
Rosicky Eduardo Arshavin
Who would you field this evening? Let us know in the comments below.

eboue - verm - senderos - Traore

------nasri--------cesc

I think we need some more bite when attacking, that's why im gonna put Walcott on the winger instead of Rosicky who ill move to the central midfield. I don't think Rosicky is an attacker. He doesn't provide much forward movement when he's on the wing. He has plenty of vision, passing ability and football intelligence to play alongside Cesc in the middle.
Also, I don't think that Ramsey and Fabregas clicked against Sunderland. Maybe Wenger will test the two together tonight.
Nasri looked very very tired and was lacking desire against Sunderland, which was very disappointing. I like him alot although he's not always consistent.
Other that this I would be happy to see Wilshere in action, but im not sure he's fully fit. He will probably play the whole match against Man City and, if we qualify tonight, against Olympiakos.
Gallas and Sagna probably need some rest. We can't risk our CB's atm.

bring on wilshire if doing well or Arshavin if not going to plan, maybe also see Merida for Cesc in 2nd half, i hope Theo has a good game, he needs it !!!!

This is a good enough side and rests players for Chelsea. Maybe Gallas will start and Andrey will play instead of Eddy. With Vela up front. We'll see.
Its hard to select between predicted team and the team I want to see
Ramsey.
How could you play him whilst we have Theo, Nasri, Denilson & Rosicky fit.
Id say
